In August, 1996, nearly 500 members of the Vickers family gathered for a reunion at Sturbridge, MA. The day included drumming and singing, all day feasting, presentations by Civil War re-enactors, a children's museum, Old Sturbridge Village, and more. Group photographs were taken and the event was video-taped. Total cost to organizers: less than $100. Cost to attendees: none. (Those not requiring overnight accomodations.) |
